Hello everyone I am having problems installing my new wireless USB A6100 mini Adapter AC600 Dual band ID 0846:9052 Netgear, Inc. I have downloaded the driver for this device from the Netgear website. I am not sure if this will work. I am running a live Kali linux CD and have also tried this with a VM. So far no luck I have also read other threads on this forum that related to installing this device but still having no luck. Any help is appreciated. Your device uses the rare and elusive driver 8812au. Please get a temporary wired ethernet or similar connection, go back to the terminal and do: Code: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential git git clone cd /rtl8812AU8821AUlinux make sudo make install sudo modprobe 8812au Your wireless should now be working. Post back any errors; warnings are probably alright. I will have one additional step. Sudo apt-get update Works okay but when I run sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential git I get: Reading package lists.
